PRobe/MX-6 turbo question
Whats up ? I come to this site all the time but I'm new to the forum section. I just got a ford probe/mx-6 turbo. Luckly I got the exhaust manifold the turbo and down pipe section all in one. I've seen the set-up's on this page but I was woundering what do I do with the electrical plug/connect comming off the compressor inlet side. Do you guys just cut the wires and leave it or does it need to be used. Thanks and I hope to be on this forum alot in the future. Oh my set-up will be on my EF9 HB I have a JDM DOHC ZC motor on a Si tranny ACT streetlite flywheel and ACT clutch. I just put in my SI tranny but might take it back out and put my Dx back in when I put my turbo on. I do all my own work cause in many case's thats the only way you know it'll be done right.

Re:PRobe/MX-6 turbo question
Don't know about the wires.. never seen taht turbo before..
Personally, I had a question as to why you'd take out the Si tranny and put in the DX? The DX is a ---- pile tranny? You just want to make sure you don't blow it up or something? |
Re:PRobe/MX-6 turbo question
That little solenoid on the compressor housing is a factory type boost controller, throw it in the garbage. It wont work with your setup. Run 1 vacuum line from the wastegate nipple to the compressor housing nipple, and thats it.

Re:PRobe/MX-6 turbo question
I took out the Dx cause it's basic wasted. It grinds alomst every gear and I need to desperately rebuild it. I just wanted to take it out before it blew and save me the towing fee.
