I wouldnt nessicarily blame the gasket itself for the problems.

Have you had the head/block decked the first time? Proper torque/sequence?

Stock Headgaskets should be able to hold up to a decent amount of boost.

Re:pro gaskets

yeah it holds up to 10-12 but 15psi everytime it blows.everything has been done to the head proper like...i just want a stronger gasket.it blows out the exaust side, plus i have no water in my oil...it will only blow water out when i go into boost,or sitting at a red light.i tell you this tho 15 psi on the sohc screams..it almost scare's me getting on it......i guess i'll just put another oem gasket on it today...

well i'll begin first time i had a y8 gasket,so then i wanted to lower my compression. so i went ahead, and bought the a6 88-91 gasket which is blown apart. the ring around the cylinders are black. also the water jackets are blown apart all the way to the cylider ring.plus now i have shiney new looking pistons, thanks to the water...any thought's people...................thanks

Re:pro gaskets

well instead of new head studs, i found some lock thread type stuff.maybe it will work.it says once dry, i have to pull the head bolts with a air tool.

if some of you people are haveing over heating problems,it might be burning the water slowly..atleast that is how mine did.also i have had no water in my oil.another thing to check is, pull off you radiator cap rev it up with you face away from the raditor. unlike my dumbass.the water will shoot up it the air.thats when you'll know that the gasket is gone.

Wow i would think it's obvious while the sytem is under pressure not to have your body near there, let alone opening a cap under pressure is a death wish :P. I've seen so many guys with black burns it's stupid so yeah that's not good :D

Re:pro gaskets

well the system was not under pressure.the cap was off.when you blow a gasket and rev it up the pressure blow's the water out of the radator.the taste of anti freeze is just nasty.... ;D
