Pressure drop?
Ok, Im running quite a large intercooler (evo6 size) and alot of people have been questioning me about what pressure drop im getting.
Well I figure the only way I can find out is with a boost gauge. Mine is hooked up here - http://apathofheart.netfirms.com/upload/gauge_T.jpg Which is T'd off the FPR right? What I really want to know is whether this psi reading is taken before or after the intercooler? Any help would be appreciated. |
Re:Pressure drop?
That would be after the intercooler. The reading you would be getting would be the pressure the motor is getting. You would need to instal a port before the intercooler to figure out what the pressure drop is.

Re:Pressure drop?
Ahhhhh! sweet! Thanks for that.
So my engine is running 6 psi of nice cool boost ;D Hmm, Makes me wonder how much boost my turbo's spooling before the cooler ??? eh. |
Re:Pressure drop?
Shouldn't be too much more than that. I would say 7 or 8 depending on your intercooler.
