ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
mine`s a D16Z6, rebuilded with new oil pumps and seals..
when it is warming up it hits 75 psi when it is at idle it has like 10psi when i am at 3K rpm when the motor just warmed up. it hit liek 60 psi. but once i start driving it for like 15 minutes.(when it heats up?) it slowly falls back to 50 then falls and stays at like 37 psi.. in the manual it said at 3K rpm, it should be 50 psi MININIUM!!!??? any idea? |
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
are you sure your car is full of oil?
chances are that after a high rpm raping the system is lacking oil i believe the term is called drying up the system or something like that i just woke up and i dont know if that is anything near being right but it is just an idea nathan |
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
have u measured this ---- with a manual oil gauge?
U know the kind that you thread directly into the block and it fills itself with oil, no electronic doo-hickies or ----. |
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
oh well mine is the electronic doo-hickies LOL
|
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
invest in a cheap portable manual one.
come on man, I'm old school. |
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
I think everything is fine. Minimum 50 is bullshit. At cruise on the freeway warm mines at no more than 50. Everything inside my motor is new.
I have seen changes in the pressure by playing with the ball valve on the feedline. I only did it once, but it made a difference in the pressures I saw. :-\ |
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
damn at idle mines around 20-25. and at throttle its around 70-75. cruising is around 70
|
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
may be i can stack some washer at the valve....
|
Re:ppl with oil pressure gauge....look.
That shits fine. At 80 once warm mine is at about 30-35psi :)
