Re: Portuguese Mk2 CRX Turbo
Hi guys!
Thanks for the relpys. Yes it´s a shame it´s the most powerfull one but this is Portugal and only now people start to realize that it´s good to turbo our hondas.
Here the myth that turbo´ed hondas will brake the engine soon still lives; but i think this myth will end soon.
Yes 450cc´s are low for what we can do with this block but they were the only ones available at the time and for now they´re enouth.
As soon as the owner can afford bigger injectors we´ll move up.
Also i have to work more on the traccion as you can see in the movie when you floor 2nd you get instant weelspin (well, first time owner did a race...). If he could control the power better the race would be much diferent!
I´m just building a stock eg6 vti turbo and another eg6 with built b16a2 (je pistons, tt rods, arp, etc) but also theese have only 450cc´s for now.
Personaly i have only tuned 2 cars for more than 1bar so even i am a bit caucious with pressure increase for now.
Here in portugal we can´t get a decent dyno with decent operators. Also noone here seems to know how to really tune an honda engine.... if so better cars would be arround...
I have used Bre (thanks to ben ogle and pgmfi guys) and my lambdaboy jr wideband unit.
I´m waiting for a new innovate LM-1+autobox kit to raise the boost up also (thanks to xenocron).
Also i am negotiating with dynapack to buy their 3000 unit (800hp/2500trq) dyno to have a decent tool to tune our cars.
Let´s wait and see!

Re: Portuguese Mk2 CRX Turbo
I´m also from Portugal and i have a turbocharged swift gt-i... all done by myself...
I´ve heard about your crx´s quite alot but unfortunatly i don´t know you guys, but would be glad too...
It´s a very small country, modded cars are extremely illegal and cops are everywhere, decent parts are almost non existant and shipping overseas is expensive, tyring and dangerous... Not many mecanical knowledge and trained personal...
So we go trough alot to do this conversions, so respect...
