popping

k, heres my problem
my ls (b18a1) is running 10psi on turboedit
ran fine untill my girl ran it out of gas the other day, now everytime i get on it.. it pops it pops so bad that the car wont move.. it feels like it comes to a complete stop as in no power at all.. it just started doing this
i really do think its the fuel pump.. but the car runs fine out of boost.. just wondering what u guys think
i also hooked up a msd box a few days before this started
is it a possablity that it went bad?

Re:popping

hmm check the wiring on the msd and check your plugs.......this is why you don't let women drive your car. ;)

have you tried resetting the ecu? disconnect the negative battery cable for 30seconds and then reconnect it. if you have another alternative, don't let your girl drive your car.lol big no no.

Re:popping

This happened to me once, But it was during a race..
I had just overfilled my nitrous bottle.. Then warmed it up to 1250psi..
Racing a c5 corvette with a 250shot and bolt ons...
I instanlty hit the nitrous(100shot) and hit the normal 22psi.
And instead of the normal neckbreaking takeoff. I get the vrooo popp popp poopp poopp poop and it was like jerky and youd lose power inbetween the pops...
I just figured it was some detonation.. So i pulled the plugs.. Still good. So i took off again had less pops.. Then the third time.. After letting the bottle drop to 1000psi it didn pop at all..
it was weird. And i never figured it out ???

Re:popping

check ur fuel filter
letting the tank run outta gas clogs ur filter because all the rust and ---- is sometimes sucked in
