Default polishing piston tops and CC on heads ?

What's everybodys opinion on polishing the combustion cambers on the heads and piston tops as a means to reduce the chance of knock ?

I have the tools, just wondering if its even worth my time..

it won't hurt, a clean piston is a happy piston.

i read a neat little article on www.theoldone.com about polishing pistons. The concensus among quality engine builders (like Endyn), a shiny piston top is a bad piston top. The texture of the top of the piston is very important in determining how the fuel and air are mixed in the chamber, and how the detonation ------s.

Nitrous cleans the tops of pistons very well.
