place to balance turbos in cleveland?

i'm in the process of replacing the compressor wheel on my turbo and i'm pretty sure i should get it balanced rather than risk it. any one know of any shops in ohio? even the tri state area would work.

anyone run a turbo without balancing it?

cool, that mi turbo place wouldn't be too bad. i was also thinking of contacting buschur racing in norwalk ohio. one of my friends recommended them to me.

has anyone had any experience with running an unbalanced turb? i would figure just having a compressor that isn't chunked would be better than what i was running before, my compressor wheel has got two pretty big pieces missing and it didn't do anything noticeably weird.

i have been hearing alot of conflicting information on how dangerous it is to run an unbalanced turbo. A freightliner tech told me that he's seen chunked compressor wheels run forever and never do anything bad. Everyone else for the most part says you're asking for trouble. All i know is i don't need to rebuild my motor cause i got cheap and greedy.

It's not that much money, you need to at least cost it out. When I had mine done, I had bought a rebuild kit from a guy, he had me send in my wheels and shaft. Balanced it on my new bearing, then sent it back. So I can't say how much, in that case all it cost me was the shipping.
I didn't have chunks missing! You, on the other hand, have chunks missing LOL

i'd take a pic of it, but its at my work. it's pretty nasty looking...maybe pics tomorrow. it totally has chunks missing.
