Pics of my setup... finally!
hey everybody! I finally managed to get pics of my setup on here. in my opionion its one of the finest homemade turbo kits ever, but thats just my opinion. I am running 6 psi on a stock b16a, and I plan on cranking it to 9 in a couple days here. its running really smoothe, except I have an idle problem with the hondata and its pissing me off. so I am going to keep it for another week and then sell the whole setup on ebay. the ebay obx/turboxs blowoff valve is workin great. highly reccomended you get it. enjoy!

Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
just trim the return line. its too long thats why its kinked. but it looks good. much props. your wastegate dump looks somewhat odd. i dont know its just me. its clean though. you need a lip. your bumper is hideous

Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
looks pretty good (except for the return), i wouldn't quite say nicest hmt set up, but definitely not too ghetto. why are you only running 6 psi if you have hondata ??? sounds to me like you're scared.

Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
Any idea if an ebay CAI will work also work as a charge pipe in a 91 DX hatch?
I planned to move the battery to the rear, so is there an intake that will go straight down and not have to wind around where the battery would be? Also, is the OBX BOV loud? |
Re:Pics of my setup... finally!

Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
hey nigel, how loud is the open down pipe?
|
Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
So why are some people saying its a bad idea while it works great for others...???

Re:Pics of my setup... finally!
the ebay cold air intake works ------- great! I had some drunk mexican guy tig that bov flange on it for like 15 bucks. I totally scored with that ----. also, the return line isn't that bad, it still has like almost a 1/2 inch inner diameter, and the downpipe is connected, but when it wasn't you could hear the turbo spool for about a half mile away under part throttle.
is the blowoff loud.... they dont call it an rfl for no reason, let me tell you buddy! it ------ rocks!! I snap ricers necks with that thing on a daily basis!. I just get next to them and let loose and they totally trip. the boost is getting upped to 9 tomorrow. dont worry. and it g-teched a 13.12 at 105 on 6psi with the exhaust hooked up. so I am pretty happy. I am shoooting for mid 12's when its tuned, at 9 psi. thanks for all the cool comments. |
