Pics of my oil catch can/filter
After doing some searching and reading i decided to go ahead and do a catch can of some sort. I read on some posts people using a compressor air/water seperator as the catch container and thought to myself that makes sense, you want the oil vapours to seperate from the air that's getting sucked into the turbo! This is what i have on my setup, i hope this will help some noobs out there!
You can see the black 3/8 hose from the valve cover that leads to the preturbo. The other 3/8 black hose is connected to a pcv valve that i gutted the inside and connected to the air/water seperator, and from there to the pre turbo. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...t/994bd6bc.jpg Air/water (oil) seperator. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...t/84cf9450.jpg Connections at the pre turbo. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...t/789a9d8a.jpg This is the diagram i followed http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...t/453e72c6.jpg |

ummm, y are you pressurizing the valve cover?

Re: Pics of my oil catch can/filter
pre turbo is always in vaccum i though...

Re: Pics of my oil catch can/filter
Same catchcan I run...but I just used a breather filter on the valve cover...your diagram is wrong because yea pre-turbo is a vaccum so you car sucking unfiltered oil vapors into you turbo off of the valve cover

Re: Pics of my oil catch can/filter
The reason for the line from the valve cover to the stock intake tube is for a fresh air inlet. If you read Honda's pcv venting diagrams, you'll see that fresh air is supposed to be "pulled" in through the valve cover, and sucked out at the breather box on the block via the PCV valve. Just put a breather filter on the valve cover, and should be ok. Just some food for thought though, that pre-turbo vacuum source really isn't going to make much vacuum, only a couple of psi at most. For long term, look into the slash cut system.
