Default Looking for suggestions from the few V-dub guys on here.

So I decided I was done with the smallness of my boosted honda and am now selling it.
A couple months back I picked up a 91 4 door jetta that needed a lot of work for a steal and since working on it I can see why people enjoy VW's so much. So now I want to take it to the next level and boost this 8v 9a. anyone have any sources on manifolds? it seems nearly impossible to pick up a turbo manifold for these things without spending 250+. I can't remember the name of the guy on here who owns that boosted golf...I'm sure he would have some good sources for me

TIA, and I'm happy I will still be able to be a part of this HMT community. With other forums that are more vehicle specific, there is not much reason to visit the website after you sell the car. Not the case here!

Check out www.vwvortex.com and www.vwsport.com for some vw info. If you want a well built manifold hit up slappynuts on this forum. He is from the boost factory. I just bought 2 of his manifolds and I am super impressed by them.

audi 5000 manifold and patch the 5th runner up for a cheep solution. you could swap to an aba and have alittle room to work with. since its not a counter flow.

awesome, thanks for the helpful replys! I have heard good things about the Boost Factory. its certainly strange going from a porsche killer to something that can barely merge into traffic.

i remember reading on vortex that you can use the TDI manifold..and flip it upside down for turbo...however I do not know if that can be used on the crossflow head or not. But if you read on that site some more..you can find the answers. But if you can use the TDI manifold then you could probably pick one up cheap from a junkyard
