People who have fabricated their downpipe. (Need Answer ASAP)

Would 6ft of SS piping be enough for a downpipe for a D-series, log mani, T3 turbo setup?

Just need a rough estimate on how many ft you used or how many ft would you suggest. etc.

I need this answer ASAP

6 feet of straight pipe? you only need a few feet plus the bend, less if you use a flex section

So I am guessing 6ft of straight pipe is enough. lol.

Yeah i am gonna use a flex. So 4ft of straight pipe with a flex? I am using no bends. I am planning to get everything bent at the exhaust shop.

If its a small shop than I highly doubt they paid the $60,000 for a mandrel pipe bender

wow. I didn't know that. You just saved me from buying some useless straight pipe. So what would be good for me to buy? A U-bend, and a 2ft section of straight pipe? Where could i get a SS U-Bend?

why order one when the shop can do the straight piece, since it doesn't need to be bent?

most, if not all muffler shops carry mild steel.

you can get those bends you are looking for from www.jcwhitney.com or www.speedpartsrus.com

I went to speedparts4us.com and I like what I see, but the stuff I would buy is on backorder. :(

If I order from there, I am thinking that a U-Bend and a J-Bend would be all I need. Or will I need a straight piece just to make sure? Also, I am going to be using a 6" flex piece. Are Stainless Steel pipes a pain to cut?

Any help is appreciated.

stainless is no harder to cut than regular steel imo

Get the straight stuff from the shop, and I doubt that jcwhitney would be out of stock, check there if you didn't

And stianless is really easy to cut, I just use a sawzall or the chop saw.

When you make your downpipe with those bends you just bough, could you let me know if it was enough? If it isn't i'll have to see if i can get the straights from the shop, like Cray91 said.

I just took a look at the ebay 45 and 180 degree in one thing and it looks pretty good. I think it'll be enough I am just gonna have to do some cutting, but since you guys said it was cake then it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks a bunch guys, you have really helped me out on my decisions.

If you guys wanna see the pipe here it is:
