pcv valve and boost?

just wondering if its possible to seriously mess up a motor using the stock pcv valve system (closed in boost) at 12psi on a good tune? could this excess pressure that was not vented from the crankcase do anything harmful? just wondering?

Yes and no. Yes it will be fine and no when the PCV valve decides to spit the center out along with the spring. It can and will happen I know this first hand.

MY theory that having an open PCV system helps the rings/ringlands 10-fold due to have an extreme realease in crankcase pressure out of the motor rather than IN the motor causing pressure/stress on them. I wouldn't run a set-up WITHOUT using it. I was shocked how much came out and I could just imagine the pressure that would be in my block if not taken care of. :-X
