I was thinking about tearing down a vacuum cleaner and using the motor out of it to suck fumes from the crankcase. I was planning on hooking it up to a pressure switch or something so that when I floored it the fan would come on and do its thing. What you guys think? Is this gonna make enough vacuum to even bother with or should I step it up a notch and find something else?

How about something like a smog pump powered by a belt off the AC or PS section of the crank pulley?

 

yeah I thought about that... but right now I'm leaning more towards something electric powered. Any ideas?

I've looked into some GM pumps but they are pricey as ----. Any idea where I could get one on the cheap cheap?
