Default oxygen sensor compatability

ok here's the deal. i have a '93 civic DX (OBD-I) an HF manifold without an oxygen sensor and a 14B turbo with an oxygen sensor... stock, i have a 4-wire oxygen sensor and so is the one on the 14B turbo outlet... if i spliced it will it work? it should work, shouldn't it because they are the same 4-wire design... right? this way i can just fill the bung on the HF manifold and use it for an EGT probe later.

think its a 18mm thread, but i dont remember, i just usually take a dead O2 and hit it with a hammer then i have a free plug and i didnt have to go to a place that will charge you 5bucks for a bolt. BUT i wouldnt put one like that right above the turbo (or any O2 sensor) cuz you dont want it to break into peices and fall into the turbo...
