I should have used engineering terms: the thingamagic takes the whatchumacallit and so on, you get the rest.

alls i knows is that i got the mad DOHC and a set of adj cam gears. with that said, ill try and see what happens...oh yeah, then ill find a dyno who knows how to ---- with TE... :P

Can you guys tell me how to turbo my Geo!? It's a daily driver and I just want a little more power? Can I run a T4 on it, I have one I found in a junkyard it has a big crack on the exhuast side i just used some ducktape so i should be ok.

But on a seriouse note this seems very interesting, can this have any effect on a SOHC engine?? In theroy can't you adjust a single cam to an overlap, not mearly as easily as DOHC, just curious?

you can get a cam with overlap, but then it's not as easy to do trial and error adjustments, you'll have to switch the cam every time.

If you put more overlap in the motor won't that dump fuel/air mixture into the exhaust? If so, then that would cause the EGTs to go way up, right?

the egts will go up if the fuel in the exhaust is burning, but if it has no way to ignite then you shouldn't have a problem.

i dont think the fuel will need much of an ignitor when the exhaust temperature is in the 1200+ degrees.

what temp does gas ignite at? I don't know if 1200+ will be enough

im not seeing this...how are you dialing in overlap with that cam gear setting? it looks like your dialing it out...wouldnt an overlap setting be more like -2 on the intake and +2 on the exhualst? it sould more like your making the intake cam open sooner and the exhaulst cam later so that would make the lobe separation ------ out farthur from each other...am i wrong?
