Overheating on return road...

well at the local 1/8th mile track the car overheats when im coming back from a pass...i changed the radiator cap, thermostat, and water pump and it still does it...is it the radiator cant keep up with the heat going 10-20 mph? because on the highway it doesnt overheat at all...

Next time it's fully warmed up, check for hot/cold spots in the radiator. Did you check the thermostat?

How hot does it actually get? Is this motor boosted? The stock cooling system wasn't designed for a turbocharged motor. I wouldn't be too shocked about it overheating with the stock cooling system, especially if you live in a warm climate. :-\
