Default Options for bleed-style MBC

My project is almost finished, but I need options for a bleed-style mbc. It's going on a CDM style wastegate, I have the main reference line hooked directly to the outlet of my compressor (supposed to open at 8psi) and I have a second line T'd off from my intake manifold to go through some sort of MBC and into the top port of my WG. I know there's going to be a pressure drop from the compressor to the intake, I'm not worried about that. I thought about using a home depot pressure regulator (you know the ones...Campbell Shithouse style with the bleed on the side), but after taking a closer look I don't think it's going to work that well. I only need about 6-7psi jump over the stock setting to give me around 14-15psi, and at that low of a setting I think the **** on the regulator will just spin itself all over the place. It would work if it was a locking style ****, but it's not...and pretty much fully open (letting only a little pressure through) the **** spins pretty freely. Am I missing anything here, or should I just ditch it and grab one of the ebay (or Donald's if he has any) style bleeder mbc's?
