I have a 2.8 liter inline six, and want to fab up a turbo system for it, buy would like to know whats the highest compression i could get go with for it to be safe. I plan only to boost .5 bar. The current compression is 10:1 i believe.

Stick with 10:1. You'll love it (and love yourself for doing it!)

 

For that low boost..10:1 is exceptable and would make a lot of more power then a lower compression. But if you plan to run like 1 bar or higher I would lower the compression
