Default Opinions on my turbo setup.

I recently picked up a few key elements to my turbo setup for my CRX, so now I need to start gathering all the small things. Here is what came with it-

hf manifold
ihi probe/mx-6 turbo(good condition)
stock 2g eclipse bov with pipe
stock 1g dsm intercooler
turboxs manual boost controller
dsm 450's(injectors)

I have been talking to BMC racing regarding the adapter plate and he says this, "if the turbo is an IHI RHB5 (4 bolt exhaust inlet flange) then I have an adapter plate". The turbo does have 4 bolts sticking out one end of it, (sorry really new to this) but can we be sure that that is the exact turbo?

He also says he has a "5 bolt DownPipe Flange", do I need that? The guy I bought the turbo from gave me some downpipe (or maybe its the continuation of the HF manifold?) with an o2 sensor in it, but Im not sure what its from.

I also want to replace my oil feed and return lines, will the BMC universal kit work? What bung do I need for the oil pan?

Anything else I should need?

Thanks.

Looks like a good start so far. I'm not big on the looks and performance of the 2G bov but it should be good for now. You'll need some sort of fuel management for those injectors (uberdata, SAFC, etc). The BMC adapter plate should work with your IHI.

You'll also need some charge pipes and couplers for the intercooler. Gauges are optional but I would at least get a boost gauge. EGT gauge is also handy. Believe it or not EGT's actually drop during pre-ignition so it's a good gauge to have to keep an eye on what's going on.

Any oil line kit will do fine. Stealthmode sells a nice complete kit.

I think you're talking about the exhaust housing on your turbo, which is a good place for an O2 sensor. The downpipe will need to be bolted or welded to that.

Thanks for the input. I have been told by quite a few people now that the 2g BOV sucks, so Ill get something else. I want to get something louder while Im at it but dont want to spend a whole lot. Any suggestions?

I plan on getting a VAFC or an SAFC. My friend who is installing the kit said he would take care of the piping. I purchased a boost gauge and have been considering an EGT but can't justify its price as of now as Im looking to run low 13s for under a grand.

If you are sure any oil line kit will work I will purchase the Universal Kit from BMC racing since I am getting the adapter plate from them also.

Here are some pics of the turbo and downpipe. The downpipe connect perfectly to the turbo, and it has a gasket, and the part that will need to connect to the HF manifold has 4 holes (what the guy from BMC was reffering to).

Thanks again.

This is Sam with BMC, I bought my oil lines from Stealthmode. I do not offer any oil line kits, only the adapters, flanges, and manifolds. For a less expensive BOV, you might look for a 1G DSM (metal). You can find those on Ebay sometimes.

I went with a 14b instead, I was afraid the RHB5 would be too small.
