Default Opinions on Ebay Blur Manifold, IowaTCoupe & Samson Chime in

So ive been holding out for a mini ram or a full ram mani for my newest build on the D for awhile now. I was browsing ebay last night and came across the "Blur" style mani. Same ---- Samson bought from IowaTCoupe except this is the massed produced version. It looks and seems to be a nice mani for the price but its still ssautocrap now matter what anyone says. Im really starting to consider picking this up....why? Well i finally met my dad wed. afternoon and we exchanged xmas presens and I got a $150 in Ebay Cash . If I decide to pick up the mani Im damn near only paying the shipping cost. Does anyone else have any experience w/ this manifold. Hows the flow rate? Im just really concerned bout this thing cracking especially since I plan on wraping the runners w/ Cooltech wrap. Post up

It looks to be of similar quality to the one Josh (samson) has. I know talking to Josh that he doesn't trust SSAC parts at all, and only trusted this one because of it being the non mass produced version. I atleast can tell you the quality looks 110% better than the old model (not that it is saying much)...

There's a comparison picture. Look at the difference in welds, and one of my main complains about the old SSAC model is the collector, which seems to be "fixed" in this newer manifold. For the price, you can't really beat it, since it'd be free anyways. Good luck with it if you get it, and be sure to post the results.

Damn, thats a big diff when compared side by side. Looks arent always everything though. I need quality and reliability. I know SSAC had a bad track record in the past but it seems like ***** coming together now?

I don't know if I'd trust it. It took me some courage to buy this, but like Dan said I'm leaning on it being a little better being it was handmade not mass produced like that one. Honestly though man, it's going to be up to you no matter what. Wait for IowaTCoupe to respond as he has run the mani I have now and I actually just got in from taking my log off and what not and putting on the stock manifold set-up. I wish I could say "yea, it's great" or "I hate this ching chong meow mani...", but I have nothing. I'll be MORE than happy to take pics of areas of interest of the manifold, but then again, it's handmade vs. mass produced soooo....

I thought this was a D series only style? So far from what I have read this manifold tends to outlast the motor but like i said i plan on heat wrapping so heat gonna be a lil more intense. I dont trust SSAC either but once again for the price.... it aint bad. Really consedering picking this up and being the guinee pig. In the past Ive had manis crack due to lean conditons so w/ a good tune I have a lil more assurance. So far I havent heard "---- THIS ------ PIECE OF ----" So im prolly gonna pick it up tonight. I also plan on ceramic coating it before i wrap only because of rust. My old rex exhaust rusted through because of rain water that got traped between the wrap and pipe.

Well all the ss manis I have seen were well scary in quality. Im a huge fan of either a solid log manifold or a cast that dont break and well performance really no one here is gonna make 500+whp so go the safe route

It says "35 or 38 MM Wastegate Flange"
Which one does it have?
Any other warranty besides: "Guaranteed Happy or 100% Refund"

Ummm, 35/38 MM. It fits both. All wastegate flages ive used were 35/38MM just like my 35/38MM Tial knock-off and Deltagate.

As far as the cast manifolds not cracking.... uhhh Ive seen a DRAG cast that cracked due to leaning conditions on the top end at 9psi and theres been a couple for sale that were rewelded in the classifieds in the past. Come'on Chris, I know youve seen it before. Ive done the log, tubular, equal leangth, and cast in the past. ---- My buds b16A2 is 346WHP on a fucken log, his spool time is ---- and Ild love to see at least a tubular on there but hes happy. This is just something new im most likely gonna try. I was just hoping for a mini ram under 230 but no luck as of yet. As patient as I try to be I wanna a manifold soon. I have no 500, 400, or even 300HP dreams. Never have actually. Just wanta change it up a bit. I mean Ild be bumed if this ---- cracked in under a year but Im not gonna through a ---- fit only because im gonna guinee pig it and for what Im paying out of pocket I have no grounds to be a ------ if its not TOP quality..... but decent quality is needed. In the end you get what you pay for.

PS. So far my fav setup was my Drag cast and TBO3 .48/.52

Yes, they have the same bolt pattern.
I'm referring to the hole size.
