ok, i got the 12A, now i need more help
 

sup fellas... today is a big day. im buyin my first turbo. but theres a little problem. im still undecided. well...

... i have 2 choices for a turbo for my car. (f22a1). i want to hear your opinions. its either a t-25 or a 12a.
which turbo to u recomend, and y???

well you must mean t-25 or 14B, i wouldnt reccomend either, but thats just me, i would reccomend a super 60 t3, or a t3/t04e, but if its low budget then definitly go 14B, the t-25 is PUSS......maybe you could get your hands on a 16g for a decent price? if so do that, 16g is just the next step up dsm turbo from the 14B.......

14g not 14b. its off of a starion/conquest. its not a big turbo, but i only plan on boostin 7 psi. and they sellin each for bout a hundred dollars.

if u like bov sounds go for those turbos
if u want at least a taste of power go for a t3 and bigger

guys. good noew, and bad news...

i bought the 14g. no shaft play, and its a small turbo. but, the compressor side points towards the block

what do i do

You can clock the turbo. 14g is a clamp? You can just turn the compressor housing.

they are and they are, the 14g is a factory style upgrade.

u are right... i do have a 12a turbo... (but want a 14g) anyways... how can u tellt he difference between the oil and the coolant plugs... and also, the feed, and drain???

Just boost that sucker.
You will gain a bit of power....more then any NA upgrad for sure.
But it won't be as much as a bigger better suited turbo.
But whatever works...it's your first try and just have fun with it.
later on you can get a bigger turbo and start with a more advanced setup.

that turbo will work just fine. youll have instant boost but your top end will suck. it sucks anyways on this f22a motors so youll be alright. make sure u have good fuel management through, dont be surprised when you floor it and your making 10psi @2500rpms, that ---- blows motors up mang.

----... i dont want my motor to blow up.... all i was lookin for was like 6 maybe even 7 psi (debating on 8), and now your tellin me it'll blow my motor...

that turbo ------ sucks, id use that piece of ---- on my go-cart at most. if anything its gonna be a restriction and you'll lose power lmao good luck and ill be awaiting ur complaints on why u dont feel any power

just use it and upgrade later on. keep the boost low
