oilpan oil level
does anyone have a measurement from top of pan down for the oil level? i have a d16y7 1999 or should i just fill it with the right amount of water while i have it off to weld a return to it. i kinda answered my own question huh?

uhm put the fitting as close to the top as u can..

At least try to do it above the oil pan baffle. Mine's below the baffle and it backs up oil into the turbo on the exhaust side(white exhaust smoke).
No comments on my downpipe please there was no room to do anything :P I just realized that you can see a part of a first gen ZC flywheel in the background. It is so much lighter than the d16a1 flywheel. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...5/fcf5a988.jpg |

You can see it has holes cut throughout the flywheel to lighten it. |
