Default oil return

when im unbolting the pan do i have to take off the plate on the bottom off the tranny? or does the pan just fall off once all the bolts are gone?

Are you talking about the flywheel cover? I had to take that off my car to get the oil pan off too. I ended up just leaving it off.

I forgot to put it on after I had already put my oil pan back on... taking the pan off again wasn't really happening that day. I will eventually put it back on I guess.

Yeah maybe your right... my memory sucks too. I couldn't get the thing back in anyways, so I just said ---- it.
