oil return

i was wondering if i could use some steel braided line and cut it to the length that i need for a oil return and use hose clamps,instead of AN ends, to hold on the end of the hose to the stock eclipse flanges on the oil return and oil pan flange which are welded on to my oil pan now.

sounds fine as long as the hose is of a decent diameter
