lol, Ever since I got involved with turbocharging, I keep forgetting I can still go to autozone and the dealership for stuff instead of having to put out an ad for every little thing. I'm getting too internet dependant!!

yeah I get net dependent too,

but damn! I would not have expected the honda dealership to beat an online price, thats practically unheard of! haha.

Can you give us an update on your problem?
did the new sensor fix your low rpm cutoff problem?

I made a post about running without the sensor,
and the consensus was that you can run without the sensor if you want, but the oil light wont come on if your dangerously low.

I run a d15b7 though, maybe vtec engines have something else goin on.(however I dont know if I mentioned my engine type in my post)

well, tonite after work, i went to my buddies garage. we put the sensor back on and tightin all the oil fittings. The car ran the same, vtec engages still, but around 6k it sputters like i'm hitting some kind of fuel cut. I solve the problem by letting off the throttle a little then it revs up too 7200k. If I floor it in gear w/o letting off the throttle at 6k it would sputter like I hit a rev-limit or somthin. And no, i didn't get an oil light or anything when the sensor was off the car. I thought putting it back on can save my motor from blowing up if i'm ever low on oil.

I could have told you that sensor doesnt affect VTEC at all. There's a vtec pressure sensor near the dist that tells the ecu if the oil pressure is ok. That little sensor on the back of the block is for nothing else but that light on your dash.

List your fuel settings, I bet you're too rich/lean.

Also check your TPS voltages at idle and WOT.

aww damn, feel like an idiot now. All that time tryin to fit that lil sensor back on. well the fuel setup as goes, 12:1 fmu and inline pump,(i think 190lph)? not sure but it came with kit. kindda odd, i use to run an fmu on my civic, it ran fun all the way too redline, although rich but at least not getting some kind of cutoff.

I think you should just stick an autometer one on the end and get an actual readable gauge :o)

were you running the inline on your civic too?
I wouldn't be suprized AT ALL if the inline pump had something to do with it. I always hear bad things about those things. intank is much better.

OK dude I'm gonna give this a crack, I had the same problem when I first tried to run my turbo when I had fmu and stock injectors. What plugs and timing are you using? I was running stock plugs and stock timing. Try some colder plugs 1 or 2 heat ranges the part number is listed here just search. You probably need to retard your timing a bit too. I was all the way down to 12' BTDC before I could get it to rev to redline, but I was till getiing nasty detonation from 4500rpm up. I suggest you get some 450s and run the hack. also I dont really like in line pumps I'd find an in tank pump. I am using a 98 GST pump and have no fueling problems, even at 10 psi.
