oil pressure sensor

is it just me, or does it seem like its gonna be hard as hell for me to see this thing? i always change my own oil, and i can barely see the oil filter, how the hell am i gonna be able to see the oil pressure sender? can you just see it by sitting under the car? and you have to take off the oil filter to access it right?

Re: oil pressure sender

yes you can see it from under the car, their is a black rubber plug over top of it. if your going to be running oil lines off of it remove the oil filter.

Re: oil pressure sender

ok so a guy on turbod16 said just cut off the cone shaped black plug, without cutting the wire. BUT then do i cut the plug as close to the sensor as possible, and after i put in the threaded piece, do i then reattatch the wire to the piece? sorry for the noobie questions, first install. takin forever

not even sure what youre asking...if you should install the sender again and reattach the plug after you put in your oil line kit?

Re: oil pressure sender

im askin if it IS in fact ok to cut the black cone-shaped plug (which i was advised to do on turbod16) and if it IS ok to cut it. how far back do i cut it, and do i reconnect it after installing the stealthmode piece?

Re: oil pressure sender

the big black rubber boot looking thing is just that, a rubber boot over the actual plug. if you can, just pull it back (maybe try prying it with a screwdriver or pulling with pliers on the boot only, not the plug or wire, which may break)

Re: oil pressure sender

^ what happens if it does break.

Just pull the boot back, you don't have to cut ----
