oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
hell everybody.
if i will place the oil press sending unit on the turbo feed line closer to the engine. will i get a accurate engine oil pressure? thanx. |
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
Yes

Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
gotch.... thanks.

Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
What's the optimum oil pressure the turbo should see? I was planning on putting a needle valve in and lowering the pressure to about 60 psi. (inline to turbine, not engine oil pressure of course)
|
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
turbos are happy with about 30-35 psi of oil pressure.
|
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
coolness.
So why don't people run oil line restrictors. Sometimes peoples oil pressure is at 90 psi. |
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
i always run one
|
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
whats an oil like restrictor?never heard of one....
|
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
a needle or ball valve you run inline to your turbo to lower the oil pressure to 35-45 psi so you dont' blow the turbo seals.
Hondas have high oil pressure...especially VTEC ones |
Re: oil pressure gauge on turbo feed line ??
oh ok cool
