oil is not pumping
i dont have an oil pressure yet, i just got done installing my safc so i want to turn on the ignition to see if it works. The safc turns on, but i notice no oil is coming out of my oil feed line, i dont want to hook it up yet bc i want to make sure there is oil coming out. What should i check for? and yes, i turned the key all the way to on position.

Re:oil is not pumping
OMG you're kidding. The motor has to be running for there to be oil pressure. :-X

Re:oil is not pumping
i read somewhere that you have to get the oil pump working before you start the car to get some oil into the turbo for the first time. please do correct me if i'm wrong.

Re:oil is not pumping
The way to do that is to disconnect the distibutor and crank the motor over for a few seconds. I have always just started the car up and let it idle. Oil should come out almost instantly.

Re:oil is not pumping
Yeah, you'll just want to cycle the key a few times to get the engine to turn over a bit, that way your oil lines will be primed with oil before you decide to start her up ;)

Re:oil is not pumping
you have to crank the motor a couple of times to prime the turbo before you start the car if its just been installed. Disconnect your ECU fuse and crank it
