Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum but not new to cars or turbos.

I did some searching and could not find a good answer.

I am making a custom turbo setup on a single cam F22B1 out of a 94 Accord with a T3 60 trim. I bought most of the itmes already and made just about everything I could. I'm moving on to the oil lines. I'm going cheap on everything so the oil lines are no exception. I've seen the kits selling for about $85 or so and I just can't bring myself to pay that much for lines when I didn't even pay that much for the turbo and rebuild kit. Is there any write-ups or pictures any of you have for making lines with hose and fittings from Home Depot, Lowes, or some other hardware store? I figure it could realistically be done for less than $40. Any ideas or suggestions?

check out the hydraulic stores. I've looked into making for myself initially, but found that it was too much hassle and price wasnt that much different... i was probably going to waste more gas going from place to find trying to find parts. but you may have better luck.

I read the "EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OIL LINES" thread but it really didn't cover details on what I'm looking for.

I'm using a T3 60 trim going on a Honda motor. How about buying a 2' 4AN hose to tap into to back of the block, a 90deg fitting going to a 3' 4AN line going up the pass. side of the motor up to the oil feed on the turbo and then buying a 1.5' 4AN line for the return and a fitting or bolt welded to the pan for the return line to connect to. That's about $30 in stuff at a hardware store or even on ebay.

I can get N2O line for cheap and could probably get it done for about $20-25. It is nice 4AN stainless & braided with a teflon center and very strong. I know it will withstand the pressure but my only concern is the oil molecules eating through it. As far as I can see it is the same stuff and should work fine. Just wondering if anyone can verify it?

-10 for return -3 or -4 for inlet. Make sure the lines can withstad constant heat. Thats about it.

I used grease gun hoses for a while.

oil lines cost me 9 dollars, then i had to buy the tt oil fitting as said cheapest way is to go with hydralic lines and find a specialy shop for fittings

Thanks for the input fellas!

I will check on the temperature rating of the lines but I'm pretty sure they will work.

If I do have success with this, I will post up the details, pictures, source for parts, etc. so that you guys can do your oil lines for cheap!

Check out farm implement dealers. The local John Deere and Case IH place here will crimp whatever hoses someone wants, generally only slightly above cost.
