Oil lines......
This may be a silly question but just looking at some of the HMT turbo projects I see some people using just a plain rubber line for the oil feed line. Have you guys had any problems with that? Any bad leaks or bursting? Just curious.

Oil feed? Post some pics.
I prefer steel infeed lines and braided drains. Blowing an oil line isn't something I want to worry about. Go cheap on something else. |
Re: Oil lines......
aeroquip makes nice rubber (not sure what they actually are made of) oil lines that are specifically made for that...check out the link at the bottom of my sig

Re: Oil lines......
i would never cheap out on oil lines, i cheaped out on my feed n return line, feed line kept poppin off under load spreying oil ALL OVER MY ENGINE bay... oil return line kink'd n got soggy ( musta used wrong rubber material ) either way, get a freakin oil line kit, its the most affective way. least of your worries if u do it right the first time.

Well, believe me, I've done a ton of turbo installs and have always used steel lines. I was just curious if anybody ever had any problems with that. Sounds scary to me.
