oil line question???

I have an -3an ss braided line that i want to replace my hard lines with, but i also have an oil pressure gauge with an adjustable needle valve to regulate the oil pressure. My question is, if i just install the -3an oil line will my pressure be high or being that it's a small diameter line the pressure will be fine?

Re: oil line question???

oil pressure is oil pressure. doesnt matter whether its 3/16" ID line or 1" ID line. as long as there is backpressure somewhere pressure will build.

That's what i thought, but just wasn't sure!!! :1 So i guess i should leave the adjustable needle valve in there to control the pressure!?

The pressure should stay the same. It's the flow that will be effected.

So i could use a banjo bolt with a .055 to .065 hole in it to control the pressure into the turbo?

If the hardlines didn't give you smoking issues, the -3 won't either. The banjo won't hurt it, but they're expensive, so if you don't need it, no spende teh moneyz.
