oil line question

On my old setup, which was a drag gen III for a b16, I kept my oil line a splitter for the back of the block. My question is, I am now doing a sohc with a t3 .42/.48. It is the saab turbo. will the oil line that came with that kit supply to much to this old turbo, or do i need to use a restrictor? I am not good with npt lingo or line sizes, so don't ask how big it is. But i am sure somebody knows what sixe of line they supplied ?

you should not need a restrictor. feed line size makes little difference.

by the way frank, nice shameless plug for steve, had nothing to do with this guys question. ::) ::)

Re:oil line question

obvesiouly this guy doesnt really know what hes doing with oil lines. no need to research it with a basic hmt kit, if he gets the stealthmode kit, it has everything he needs, and it works perfectly.

if he were doing some crazy hotsex ----, i would tell him different, but hes not. but at the same time, if he were, he should know these kind of things.

so no shameless plug, just a good opinion. ;)

Stealth's lines are -4an right? I think that is the same size as the Drag lines...

Personally, I prefer using -3an feed lines and no restrictor.

Yeah, they are -4an. I found a website that has all the kit info. This will be my second FI honda, but is hardly my first modded honda. I had 3 na b series motors prior to going back to a d series.
My question was more towards the turbo itself, and whether a -4an line will suuply too much oil and cause the seals to go bad sooner? Or do i just need a decent size return?

Re:oil line question

If the drain line is working properly and the turbo is in good shape, you won't need a restrictor valve and a -4 feedline will be fine.
