oil gets really hot and thin
well my temp guage goes up to 3/4 sometimes when i beat on my car and i stop at a light
my oil psi also dips to 5psi im figuring the turbo is really heating the oil so i was thinking of putting an oil cooler but where would get the oil lines from? would a better rad help more? |
Re: oil gets really hot and thin
i don't mean to jack the thread...but does anyone know if putting an oil cooler inline with the turbo feed would act like an oil restrictor at the same time?

Do you have any oil flowing problems or such?Ive never really heard of a problem with oil in a honda even when boosted.

Re: oil gets really hot and thin
before the turbo the oil pressure at idle was 15-20 which is normal when warm
now its fucken super thin ill try a heavier oil and see what happens |

Don't bother with your feed line, spend a little money and get either a spin on adaptor and a filter location and put you oil cooler off on of those lines. OR get a filter sandwich. I'm using this and runing lines to a cooler to a BMW oil cooler, I see temps at 160 to 170 highway and about 190-200 cruizing. No I just had to work out the fine drip I get from it. |
