Re: oil feed line

Re: oil feed line

what size then

HMT-Admin 10-23-2005 08:29 PM

Re: oil feed line

huh? how come everyone of your posts never make sense.

1/8th is on just about every junkyard turbo or aftermarket hybrid t3/t4.

Are you asking what size Barb you want to go to? if so, I'd go with a 1/4in Barb, or if your going to use AN fittings, I'd go with a -3 an fitting.

Did this answer your question?

if your looking for fittings, you'd most likely be better of going to a place the specializes in only fittings, and not Car Quest, that way you'll be sure to get exactly what you need, and they will have a better chance at find you a solution!!!

Re: oil feed line

I would think that 1/4 hose would work well.

Get some hose barbs, some epoxy and some good hose clamps. Either that or use brake line. That's cheap enough, no?

You have over 700 posts, you have been here since May and you still dont know how to use the search function? Or how about maybe look through the turbo projects to see what they use for oil feed?

Lemme Guess you can only work with pictures, or sign language?

Do you understand those? ::)

Like I said 1/8th to 1/4in Barb.. ok I tried to make it easy for you so I labeled it

1. The brass Barb, you can get these at automotive stores, home depot etc, they are about 79 cents each
2. The brass T it has an extension on it so it moves it away from the block, and in your case you will need one that has 4 (2 for the turbos, 1 in, and 1 for your oil pressure sender) this costs about 2.00
3. This is the oil pressure sender, it doesnt look like a ford one, but you get the idea.

The hose, its from Napa. It's called weatherhead, it can substain a decent amount of heat, its rated at 350psi, and comes in various sizes. It's worked great on lots of HMT setups in the past for me. It's around 5.50-6.50 a foot

Does this answer your questions?

Re: oil feed line

are you talkign about the fitting to tap the block?

go to a hardware store with your oil pressure sender and the oil log and find some fittings that fit.

Would this work for the feed line?

http://cgi.ebay.com/SAE100R2AT-High-...QQcmdZViewItem

And this for the return?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Weatherhead-High...QQcmdZViewItem

You'd probably need an AN to NPT adapter or something but hey 30 bucks for hoses
