Default oil drain tube question

Hey, I have a 95 civic ex d16z6 and im running a T3/T04B turbo and where the turbo sits the oil drain line is real close to the oil pan and to keep the drain tube up toward the top of the pan there will be a low spot in the drain tube where oil may sit because it cant get out. Is that bad or shouldnt that be a problem?

You should be as creative as possible to make sure that you have the most downward slope as possible. Alot of our kits end up with this problem, but sometimes you have to be creative.

Ok thanks I got it to point down a little more then it was. If there is some oil left in the drain tube once you shut the car off is that bad?

i think it's been discussed before, maximum boost says it should slant downwards all the way, but conventional wisdom says as long as the oil pan fitting is lower than the turbo oil drain, it doesn't matter if the return makes a U. Think about sink drains. I used to have my return line slant up just a little going into the pan and it worked fine.

My sexy oil return...

I got about a thousand miles on her and no bad smoking. I am burning a tiny bit of oil and I think it might be leaking too because I half assed cut the hose when I stuck it on there.
