oil drain, need help fast! car must start tonight! *UPDATE* still need HELP
 

i have a 1/2" id rubber drain, but the only fitting i can get to go in the pan is the hose barb ---- from napa, im afraid if i weld a piece of tube in ill burn through the pan, will the fitting cause oil to back up in the turblow? i dont really want to jb weld it (before you suggest that) but thanx

Why would the fitting cause oil backup? Just weld it in there or jb weld it, easy.

just drill the hole the right size and thread it in

i usually goto home depot and get the barb fitting that has enough room to put a bolt on the back side of it, bolt it up, then seal it with JB just to represent and make sure it won't come loose. ;D

I know a guy that bolted one down, it's been two years and it still hasn't come loose :P

ok.. i jb welded a piece of pipe in there, hmt style. but i got a bigger problem now. No matter what i do i cant get the oil drain flange from the turbo to stop leaking. i used a piece of rubber heater hose at first that had a small kink in the middle, so i figured that was backing up oil in the center section, causing it to come out the gasket. today i put a hose clamp around the kink to get it somewhat round. well, this worked for a little bit, then it started leaking again. i just made a copper gasket to replace the old one and put some RTV around it, and it still leaks. could the center section be bad?? this is ------- rediculous, i cant tune it cause it leaks oil all over HELP!!!
