Oil drain causing smoke?

my old drain line was a nice smooth copper one but it cracked and i replaced it with a stealthmode one. problem is i had to put on a 90 degree bend to keep it on a down slope into the pan. could this cause it to smoke/ could i check somehow.

reason is that a few things aren't normal:
~swithed from 20w-50 oil to 10w-30 for winter
~hasn't run in over a month
~burned a little before
~new drain line

Maybe the -10 line is a bit smaller than the copper line you were using. What's your oil pressure?

Honestly, i dont think a 90 degree bend is good.
I remember seeing someone on here where their turbo was so low that the oil drain was damn near at 180 degree.
I think over time that bend is gonna get clogged and oil is just gonna set and harden up in it

got any pics?

ya, i'll get some pics when i go home this weekend. it's not that i wanted to make it 90 degrees. i have a 14b with a cx manifold so i don't think it's abnormally low or anything. the 90 was the only way to get it into the pan and still have a decreasing slope. what do you guys think about switching to thinner oil?

im having the exact same problem now. Im going to have to use a 90 fitting coming off the turbo to even get the slope right. Im using a restrictor so there shouldnt be to much oil trying to get out of there at once. The hf sits the turbo so low thats all i can do
