O2 sensors for Nissan Altima

my bud's got a 2000 nissan altima and he's gonna turbo it. does anyone know anything about nissans? i'm a civic guy and it seems that the best fuel management for a honda is to chip the ecu...but he's got a nissan. he's got two O2 sensors, and he was thinking about an afc hack...would a chipped ecu (if it's possible) be better? ???

Which motor does he have? KA24DE?

With an adaptor harness you can run an OBD1 ECU with a daughterboard and chip it using LiveEdit or ROM Editor. The .adr file should be the same as the one for the 240SX.

If it's 1 of the Altimas with the VQ series motors I havent the foggiest.

check out www.240SX.com

If his car is an automatic good luck. The torque from that 2.4L is gonna seriously overwhelm his tranny.

If it's a 2.4 its a KA. It's doable. I heard of someplace up in NE that mods FWD auto tranny ECU's(Nissan had a separate ECU for the tranny). Since Altima's are a dime a dozen I would just say do an Auto>Manual conversion.

Almost forgot to link the DB's:

JWT does exactly what I'm suggesting. They put in their own DB and a scrambled 16-bit ROM(so you can't reburn it). If you wanrt to change anything you have to pay JWT. It's also been shown that their tunes aren't that great by ppl who have unscrambled their bin's.
