O2 sensor for HMT project
I was just wondering, isnt it better to put the O2 sensor on the exhaust housing or downpipe rather then on top of the hf/cx/std manifold??? plus when you connect an air/fuel gauge and tee it in to the o2 sensor, wont it be more accurate cuz its the gases leaving after turbo?? isnt that where the o2 sensor usually is anyways?? why do all the projects on the home page have the o2 sensor on the manifold and not after the turbo.....? :-\

Re:O2 sensor for HMT project
the hotter the better, so the closer to the actual exhaust ports the better.

isnt the downpipe hotter?? rather than on top of the manifold?? bump..

Re:O2 sensor for HMT project
closer to the engine will be always hotter..
it really doesnt matter where the O2 is, before of after, it all works. the turbo doesnt effect the readings either. |
