Default o2 off manifold vs o2 off downpipe - benefits???

I am getting a custom log manifold made and would like to know if anyone would have the o2 bung place there or leave it in the downpipe Questions or comments would be very helpfull!!! Thanks...

In the manifold would not be a good idea. I know for plx wideband it will not tolerate temps over 850c, that's about 1500f.
