nternal wastegate woes

the car runs good now, but it keeps going to about12-13psi. the wastegate is set at ten. it isnt adjustable, so i dont know how it could have changed. could the line from the wg to the compressor be to long, there is slack in the line. also, i had to replace the c-clipthat holds the arm on the door and its a lil big so i had to kinda smash it on, could that be the prob.? sorry for the fuxored questions, but im worried im gonna hit 13 or higher and kablooie. any help would be nice

Hey you tryin to copy me? I made a thread with this exact same title a couple weeks ago...

Anyways how long is the vaccuum line? A little extra slack isn't going to make a difference. About the c-clip... is there play at the end of the wastegate actuator rod that connects to the flapper? What I'm getting at is does the wastegate have to push the rod out a slight bit until it actually starts to move the flapper? You want the connection there to be nice and slackless. If all else fails, you can attach a spring from somewhere on your block to your wastegate flapper, in the opposite direction of the actuator. So this spring will actually be trying to pull open the wastegate all the time, and in turn the wastegate will open at a lower boost depending on the stiffness of the spring.
