Default notching the turbo for the adapter plate.

I have an HF manifold, a BMC adapter plate, and a DSM T25.

BMC recommended I get 25mm long studs for the turbo side, and i did, they stick out the holes on the turbo, but the surface where i would be putting the washer/nut is not flat. would it be ok to just notch that so its a flat surface? or what?

what have you guys done?

Get an angle grinder and grind it flat. You only need to do two since the other two are already flat enough.

phresh is right.. its kind of a bitch to get that thing level, just grind as much as you can and make it somewhat level, I used a couple crush washers to help out too.

I was just about to ask the same question when I seen this post. I asked bmc about it and he said nobody had ever told him about this before and didn't know that two were not flat.
