ive been boosting about 8psi, but for some reason, it feels like it dont pull as hard in 3rd and 4th gear, is that normal? cuz 1st and 2nd gear, and the first half of 3rd gear pulls strong, but once around 6k rpm in 3rd and through 4th gear, it dont pull as hard, it feels like no power....weeeeeeird

 

what kind of turbo r u using? what motor? you might have a strong motor with a small turbo. I get boost all the way to 5th gear even on highways at 6lbs. it's a garrett t3 42/48ar on a d15b7. you might need a bigger turbo

 

t3/t4 turbo..its plenty big me thinks b18b engine

 

and what does the boost gauge say during these "no power pulls" ?

 

8psi, and its steady...im thinking maybe clutch is slipping? but i had it replaced like 20k miles ago, and it pulls hard from 1st gear to 3rd gear...why the hell would it slip on 4th gear if it was? ahhh!

 

run just a smidget more timing... it helps on those long power pulls where it really gets noticed!
