no vac inlet on turbo, wtf?
 

theres no vacume line inlet on my wastgate for my t-25
i can see a spring inside the wastgate but all of them have one...so i duno

Umm, hate to break it to ya, but i do believe that piece of black hose that's attached to the wastegate is the line you speak of. Oh, btw...the wastegate doesn't open because of vacuum ;) The hole in the side shouldn't really do anything except maybe to squirt in a little oil to keep the spring lubed. The diaphragm usually is sealed off from that half of the wastegate.

that black line connects to the turbo compressor side, so no internal wastgates are vacume sourced, that dosent make snese my t3 was vacume sourced

Might be the only reason it was vacuum sourced was because pressure from the manifold will be slightly less due to restirctions and the longer piece of hose needed to reach the wastegate. So pretty much if it ran to the manifold, you might be able to squeeze a few extra psi before the wastegate opens fully. Kinda a shitty way of doing it...keep it attached to the compressor side and if you need to raise your psi use a boost controller.

so there are turbos that need vacume pressure and some that dont? ive only had experience w ones that use a vacume source to help open the watgate

I should put that in my sig ::) Internal gated turbos use boost pressure to open the wastegate to help keep the turbo from overspooling...a.k.a. make too much psi. A vacuum source to a wastegate will do nothing at all to open it. The pressure being forced into the wastegate moves the rod forward to open the internal gate. Got it now? I suggest doing a little more research before you blow your stuff up ;)

no thats what im saying, but after showing pics poele were sayin how i needed a nipple to connect a vac line to it so that the pring can open, i thought vac type ones were for external wastgates
