Ok first off, finally got my Boost gauge installed, it reads 20 vaccum at idle, then when i took it out for just a tiny ride donw my street, i got on it, and no boost, it goes from 20 vaccum at idle to 0 boost. Bov doesnt blow off or blow off a sound as i can here, i took it up to about 4500 and didnt feel boost. I did have to clock the center section to get the outlet facing down and i had to clock the compressor to make the outlet face down so the internal wastegate got moved a little, but why no boost, is it maybe cuase i only tightened the clamps with a screwdriver, maybe i have a boost leak? and im getting a oil leak from a werid place, right below the oil inlet on the side there theres a bolt, i cant tell where its coming out off?

 

1. check the wg flapper and make sure its closed

2. you have boost leaks.

 

I hope its just boost leaks,

 

is your wastegate actuator adjustable, i had this same problem, mine wasn't tight enough so it was leaking out around the flapper valve.

 

yea its one of those adjustable ones, i got the turbo from DOWN2TURBO, what do i do to tell or fix it if its that problem,

 

Take the turbo off.

remove the little pin and disconnect the arm from the flapper.

hold the flapper closed and adjust length of arm until you can slide it over flapper in closed position.

inspect to make sure flapper is being held closed firmly with arm connected

re-insert little pin and re-install turbo.

Ya man thats an easy fix. You might not even have to take the turbo off. I used a coat hanger for my actuator arm and it works perfect.
