does anyone know where this turbo came from? It has a nissan motor markings on the compressor side with 16v11 on it. looks like a t3 to me! any idea?

It probably did come off of a T3. I have a Nissan compressor housing on my T3 with the .60 wheel. I beleive they used them on the 300Zx. If you had a pic, I could probably tell you.

I got remanufactured turbo with a 60 compressor, and 48 turbine t3, it also have a nissan compressor cover, but its a super 60b, the compressor cover was bored out to fot the wheel, so thats probably the deal with your turbo.

If it came off a 300 ZX turbo it will have a very wierd looking down pipe/wastegate flaper housing, long and twisted looking. These are 60/63 AR turbos but very difficult to work with because the waste gate flaper housing gets in the way and it won't interchange with other turbo parts(SAAB,Volvo) it's a Nissan only design. You have to cutit off and weld it up.
