NIPPLE on a14b Compressor neck
I looked at all of the 14b turbo projects and couldn't find out what everyone else was doing... anyways i don't have a wastegate anymore, using the spring thing. I was wondering where the vacuum line from the nipple on the compressor neck should be plumbed into... whether right into the intake or somewhere before the throttle body?? It seems like maybe there could be something wrong w/air entering the motor before the throttle. Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks

plug it.
you're doing the spring thing and not using a wastegate. so that line needs to be plugged. |
Re:NIPPLE on a14b Compressor neck
yeah, i was thinking that... but i can't think of anything but a spot of weld (W/O welder for a few days) to plug that fucker... i mean, what is strong enough to plug at 8 psi... ----, JB WELD... thanks

Re:NIPPLE on a14b Compressor neck
I just went to Autozone and bought some vacum hose covers, and put one of those on it, works great and I"m running 9psi.

Re:NIPPLE on a14b Compressor neck
wtf?
a 14B doesnt have the wastegate nipple on teh compressor |
Re:NIPPLE on a14b Compressor neck
i had some vacuume hose covers and they didn't seem trustworthy. if you fill the nipple with jb weld from the inside out (remove the nipple) it'll hold like no tommorow.
what i did a while back 1 1/2 months and no probs. running 11psi. |
