Default newbie question about a TE04H

I just go my hands on a TE04H and it is water and oil cooled. Do i need to use both coolling systems? I was thinking of of just running the oil lines, but before I did that I figured I would ask.

Thanks for any help you can provided,

AUstin

from what i understand you really just need the oil lines but if you have the coolant lines you may extend the life of your turbo so its really up to you just be sure to atleast run the oil lines to it

The oil lines are an absolute must. The cooling lines if connected enhance the life of the turbo bearings and shaft. Else you can leave it unconnected.

I was told the same answers when I asked about the watter lines on my turbo.
My advise hook up your watter lines.
More than the life of your turbo it effects the life of your oil.

Just use a turbo timer...let it all cool and youll be fine without the water lines

Your sure your ready to start this turbo project?? Might wanna do some research

The water lines will help preserve the life of your turbo....i was saying if you use oil lines with no water lines make sure to allow the turbo to have a full cool down (get a turbo timer).....

running water lines puts more stress on your stock cooling system which will just lead to more probs down the road.....my 0.02
