No matter what manifold you use, if you don't brace it properly it will crack eventually

Now Whitey, stop holding back and tell us how your really feel I think instead of replying to these threads when stupid people ask, we should just ignore them so they start another thread saying they bought it and it broke. THEN we can reply to that one and make fun of them, that would be a lot more fun that this thread, lol. Seriously dude, if you read his feedback, it looks pretty good, but that is because people give feedback before they get a chance to use the product or use it for very long, then it is too late

Even though there's already pictures of those manifolds in the typical cracked autoshit fashion?

BOTTOM LINE THOSE MANIFOLDS ARE MADE OUT OF INFERIOR CHEAP METALS THIS IS WHY THEY BREAK! YOU PEOPLE ARE SO ------- STUPID IF YOU SEND ANY MONEY TO THAT **********!!!

Yeah but it pisses me off knowing this guy is making tons of money becuase people are ------- retarted Look at companies like Lovefab and BMC who actually make quality products but yet when one breaks all of a sudden its like an internet lynching saying to never buy their products. But people will still buy SSAC saying "oh well I know itll crack, its just temporary until I can afford another manifold"

I'm seriously ready to start a buisness where I ---- in a box, spray paint it chrome and sell it on Ebay. As long as its cheap and looks pretty people will buy it no matter how big of a piece of ---- it is. Never underestimate the predictibility of stupidity

Depends on what type of manifold you use. I have a log manifold and it works perfectly fine without bracing. So, you bolt your downpipe to the chassis? That's a good tip if you don't want it to crack

It may not crack now, but the if the turbo is hanging off of it and the downpipe isn't braced to the chassis, then the manifold gets stressed when the engine torques back and when the exhaust shifts back on acceleration....eventually it will develop a crack.

And I my friend has an OBX manifold that has lasted for 9 months so far without developing a crack. The turbo is braced to the block, and the DP is braced to the chassis with flexpipe on the cat side.

Call me a noob, a tard, but I'd rather buy a 150 dollar manifold and brace it up and make it sturdy then blowing 600 or so on a "well made" one.

I just don't understand why you would brace a DP (which is connected to a engine that moves under load) to a stationary thing that does not much the same way under load (a chassis). Doesn't make sense to brace a movable object to a stationary object.

hmm hard to explain...

manifold--->turbo--->section of downpipe--->flex pipe---->rear section of DP braced to chassis--->flexpipe/cat whatever--->exhaust.

You want to have 2 movable sections....the engine moving with the downpipe, and the other half of the downpipe moving with the exhaust. If they aren't braced in between then the exhaust will be pushing or pulling against the turbo...putting stress on the manifold.

imagine going over a bump when revving...the exhaust could shift forward a whole ton on the hangers....pushing on the downpipe connected to the engine that is torqueing.... 2 forces like that could place a lot of stress on the manifold.....

Anything that you buy that has to be braced in order for it to hold up, is a complete pile of ----. Bottom line.

steve said it.. if it was any good it wouldnt need to be braced...

i mean, i held a ssauto mani one time, and it weighed maybe 4 lbs....

the materials its made of are so light and cheap... the collector is nothing motre than a piece of stamped steel banged over the ends of the 4 pipes, theres no real collector,

bottom line, i could weld a better mani than that with my tig, with no gas and me being drunk and high,
